GINA BRUMLEY STANLEY lives in Edmond, Okla., with husband, Scott, and their three (nearly grown) kids—Cooper, Griff and Corbin. They are members of First Presbyterian Church of Edmond. In 1995, she began raising puppies to be trained as service dogs and has ever since been an advocate for Norman-based A New Leash On Life.
She currently works as a free-lance writer and writes a weekly column for the regional paper, The Oklahoma Journal, which is distributed in southeastern and east-central Oklahoma, as well as western Arkansas. She also works for the OSU Alumni Association, planning events for alumni in the southern half of Oklahoma.
Originally from McAlester, she graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1985 with a bachelor of science degree in journalism and then received a master’s degree from East Central University while working there as the alumni relations director. Her career has included public relations, alumni relations, and event planning. She loves free time with her family and especially enjoys spending time on the water, usually at Lake Eufaula.
At home, she also takes care of dogs Daphne and Roscoe; cats Fred and Ollie; and chickens: Cherry, Della, Red, Teddy, Goldie, Frankie and Annette.
