Art Anthony

Author in Tuttle, Oklahoma

Art Anthony was born and raised in Goose Creek, Texas. After serving in the army, he worked in agriculture manufacturing and marketing, and then spent thirty-one years in education that included a ten-year stint as superintendent of the South Fork School District in Kincaid, Illinois. He has a B.S. from Sam Houston State and two more advanced degrees from Eastern Illinois University. Art is married and has four children,  six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He resides in Tuttle, Oklahoma, and this is his fourth book.


His latest book, Too Many Rivers to Cross, won a 2020 award as Texas Best for historical western fiction. His two earlier works, Sulphur River (2013) and Return to Sulphur River (2015), also received awards for western fiction by the Texas Association of Authors.
